Situated on the island of Paros, in the exclusive spot of Ambelas, with an unrestricted infinity view facing the Aegean and Naxos island, the architecture & design team “AMV” ,Andreas Vassilaros & Marlen Kyriakidis, designed a complex of five luxurious villas on three independent adjacent plots of land.
Each villa is distinctive and is designed autonomously, whilst letting the owners to enjoy them as an entity, using the common facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, the beautifully designed gardens, a helipad and a private boat jetty with direct access to the sea front.
The exterior volumes and interior architectural details of the houses are a fusion of classic Cycladic architecture and modern minimalist design with a sculptural concept in simple lines to create harmony and serenity in the movement between the interior and exterior spaces. The traditional Cycladic architecture is respected through the design. All exterior spaces with multiple functions, playfulness between light and shadow, are designed in such a way to embrace the houses giving a feeling of warmth along with a sense of freedom to the infinite view towards the sea
The architects were mindful of seamlessly integrating the island’s natural elements.
White is the prominent color of this villa, with strokes of color in its furnishings, mosaic tiles, and the turquoise of the outdoor cushions, while the white marble floors reflect the Greek sun seeping in through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The gardens designed by the landscape architect Rebecca Cameron are a true ode to the natural surroundings and local fauna of the island.
The lighting design gives the villa a dramatic look when the sun sets. Subtly lit water features in different areas of the villa enhances a sense of serenity while spending time in its outdoor areas.
